Reactive Dog Therapy Daycare
I created my Reactive Dog Therapy Daycare in Mandurah specifically to help reactive and fearful dogs. My focus isn’t simply on stopping the bark, lunge, growl or shutdown. I look at what is happening before it and what the dog’s body language is telling me. Through carefully managed exposure, socialisation and the help of calm, experienced dogs, I work on building confidence and changing how the dog feels about what once triggered them. Successful reactive dog rehabilitation isn’t just about controlling a reaction. It’s about helping the dog learn how to cope so they don’t always feel the need to react.

Dog Socialisation - Therapy Daycare
I offer group rehabilitation sessions at my home. These sessions are suitable for all dogs, and I am happy to work around your schedule. The sessions are personalised; some dogs come for the whole day while their parents are working, while others come for a few hours to gain important socialisation skills. Suitable for:
Dogs/Puppies needing socialisation
Anxious or fearful dogs
Reactive behaviour
I am a qualified dog behaviour therapist trained in rehabilitation therapy, focusing on emotional needs and specific behavioural issues. If your dog needs a more intensive training program, I can work with you and your dog over a period of time to address the issues you are facing. An initial behaviour consultation is required and if further training is required, I will provide a personalised quote.

Dog Socialisation - Therapy Daycare
$80 Per Day
A structured confidence building day where dogs learn calm social skills, patience, manners and how to relax around other dogs. Suitable for all types and age of dog.

Using my calm, well trained helper dogs in a safe controlled environment, I can accurately assess your dogs behaviour and develop the right plan to help you and your dog succeed.

During our initial consultation, I gain valuable insights into the unique challenges you may be facing. This approach allows me to address issues effectively and holistically. Unlike traditional training sessions that are time-restricted, I believe in dedicating the necessary time to ensure both you and your dog feel at ease throughout the process.
I do not use shock collars or aversive training methods, but I also believe behaviour work needs to go further than simply distracting a dog with food or rewarding around a behaviour without addressing what is driving it. Rewards absolutely have their place, but if a dog is frightened, reactive or constantly on alert, I want to understand why. My approach uses canine body language, clear communication, appropriate pressure and release, carefully managed exposure and confidence building. The goal isn’t simply to distract the dog from a trigger, it’s to help the dog learn how to cope with it.

I highly recommend Helen’s services, she has been amazing with both our dogs. We contacted Helen when we adopted a new rescue puppy, and our older dog didn’t take to him and was showing signs of aggression towards him.
