About A Dog's World Matters

Hi, I’m Helen, the heart behind A Dog’s World Matters. Growing up on a sheep and beef farm in Uruti, New Zealand, I discovered my passion for animals early on. From herding dogs to playful goats and inquisitive calves, I was fascinated by the way animals think and behave.

With over 20 years of hands-on farming experience, I’ve honed my understanding of animal behaviour, particularly how dogs respond to our energy and guidance. My mission is to help others cultivate trust-based relationships with their dogs through calm and clear communication, utilising practical and proven techniques.

At home, I share my life with Luke, my 9-year-old Huntaway, who not only offers companionship to me and my family but also serves as a role model for my teachings. Together, we strive to create a harmonious bond between dogs and their humans, enriching the lives we touch.
